Take in a San Francisco Giants Game from McCovey Cove

Whether you are in a large vessel or a small run-about cruising the bay, a must-see is McCovey Cove during a San Francisco Giants game, a unique place that is both calming and eventful. Drop anchor and enjoy the SF Giants while launching your dinghy or kayak to mingle with the locals. The biggest challenge is to find McCovey Cove Dave and beat him to the home run ‘splash hit’. Mind you, this is the only ball park in the world where you have the opportunity to catch a homerun while out on the water. This is a very unique environment to share with friends and family or to entertain clients or guests.

Dine at the Waterfront Restaurant and Cafe

After a long day on the bay, treat yourself to something yummy at one of the San Francisco Bay Area’s many beautiful restaurants. Want to grab a drink? You can try the Waterfront Restaurant and Cafe, located at Pier 7 on The Embarcadero.

Hike Angel Island

How to get to Angel Island, the Ellis Island of the West? It’s simple - take a ferry from San Francisco or rent a kayak from Sea Trek in Sausalito and paddle those 3 miles to Angel Island. Better yet, charter the schooner Gas Light! Once on the island, enjoy the forests and the wildlife either by foot or bike, or even by Segway. Hike to the top of Mount Caroline Livermore, 780 feet above the Bay. Stay in a tent at a bayside campground, and tour the Immigration Center and Nike Missile sites. Angel Island is open daily.

Go to the Beach

Where else you can hang out on a sunny day? Of course, at the beach. Even if you encounter the famous San Francisco foggy summer days and chilly temperatures, do not let them stop you. The best beaches include Presidio Beach, Ocean Beach, and Baker Beach, a great place for an intense morning workout. But if you are not much into running or working out, you can opt for a midday picnic or a romantic evening out because these beaches have the most incredible views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Marin Headlands.

Visit the Aquarium of the Bay

The aquarium is located on Pier 39 on the San Francisco waterfront. Here you can enjoy the local marine world. The aquarium’s mission is to protect the bay and the animals that live in it. Inside, you will walk through 300 feet of tunnels inside aquariums that contain 700,000 gallons of water in total. There are 20,000 marine animals from the bay and surrounding areas here. You can come face to face with sharks, fish and, of course, jellyfish.

Take cruises

One of the best things to do in San Francisco is taking cruises. Take a daytime cruise to get soaked in some rays while you are viewing the Golden Gate Bridge or Alcatraz Island. The cruises can take you under the Golden Gate and close enough to the bay’s islands so that you can enjoy the views and take a few nice photos.

If you want to enjoy the evening views or if you are simply a romantic, then you will certainly fall in love with the San Francisco Bay dinner cruises. Give your date night that extra touch of romance. Enjoy the sunset and the city lights while you enjoy a delicious California-style four-course meal of fresh local ingredients.

Are you excited?

You can experience so many things in San Francisco, whether it is with your loved one, family members, friends, or co-workers. Imagine how cool it would be to travel here with your team after successfully completing a complex company project or to just show your team how much you appreciate their hard work. There are a million reasons for visiting San Francisco Bay. Book a few excursions and also leave room for a few unplanned adventures. San Francisco Bay awaits!
