The perfect end of a sailing trip is a nice waterfront dinner because apart from everything, water makes you hungry! In addition, most of us enjoy a prepared healthy and delicious meal after a long day of cruising by all the beautiful sites on the bay.  So, today we explore a few restaurants available on all sides of San Francisco Bay that you can easily get to via boat.

Trader Vic's
Trader Vic's offers a marvelous view of the Emeryville Yacht Harbor. Trader Vic’s proudly serves their signature drink, the Original Mai Tai, which they lay claim to have invented. The Mai Tai, along with several other rum flavored drinks can be enjoyed during two daily Happy Hours in the bar & lounge. The lounge offers a menu rich in creative small plates including the lauded PuPu platter and an exclusive selection of exotic tropical cocktails, served in wild theme glasses. The dining room offers traditional Trader Vic’s menu items and international cuisine. Even more, there are four private rooms for any occasion accommodating 10-259 people.

Delancey Street Restaurant
You will find most usual American, international, and vegetarian-friendly food here. The service, the food, and the prices are incredible. The dining room is pleasant and cozy. If you are looking for a place where you can hear yourself talk, then this is the right place for you. The thing is that the place is nearly always ¾ full, but not too loud. So, you can enjoy your meal and a nice conversation, too.

Waterfront Restaurant and Cafe
Want to enjoy seafood and a remarkable view? You can have both at the Waterfront restaurant. This place has been serving up fine food and drinks for over 45 years. Famous travelers, celebrities and even princes have visited. Of course, there are too many good restaurants in San Francisco to dine at in one lifetime, but definitely put this one on your list.

Burma Superstar Restaurant
Want to try something new? Burmese food might be the answer! At Burma Superstar, you will find not only Burmese, but also Asian and vegetarian-friendly dishes. But be ready to wait in a queue if you arrive without booking a table. The staff are so lovely and helpful that they will serve you tea outside whilst you wait. A few dishes you can try here are the Burmese style curry lamb dish, Yellow Tofu, Vegetarian Samusa Soup, Curry Chicken made with a flat noodle.

Fisherman’s Wharf
Scoma’s is a nice place in where you can enjoy Italian food, although the interior is restyled in the American modern way. The restaurant might be a bit pricey but is worth the try. There are plenty of opportunities to try local seafood on Fisherman’s Wharf including the shrimp and crab cocktails fresh from the row of outside vendors, and Clam Chowder in a sourdough bowl from Boudin’s the originator of the San Francisco classic sourdough.

Pier 39
If you’re looking for unique restaurants on a 2 story entertainment filled pier, then Pier 39 is for you. Plenty of seafood here, along with San Francisco’s Hard Rock Cafe. Don’t miss the tons of sea lions lounging on the docks at the end of the pier that they took over as their own years ago.

GAS LIGHT can take you to any of the above restaurants after a wonderful bay cruise. A replica of the original 1874 schooner, GAS LIGHT boasts the guest comforts and conveniences of modern day sailing yachts.
