Holiday Parties on Tall Ship Gas Light
Host an intimate holiday party on San Francisco Bay your guests will LOVE and remember forever!
PLAN A HOLIDAY SEASON CORPORATE EVENT YOUR EMPLOYEES WILL ACTUALLY WANT TO ATTEND
With the holiday season approaching, it is time to come up with a fun-filled corporate event that will not turn out to mimic a wild and chaotic scene from Office Party. Simply hearing rumor of the words "corporate event," "office holiday party," or even "annual holiday bash" is enough to make some employee's eyes roll as they begin brainstorming respectable ways to get out of attending the event. Think outside of the box this year! Make your corporate event a big deal for your employees by taking them out on San Francisco Bay aboard a tall ship with Bay Light Charters.

The Tall Ship Option
Replicated after an 1800s Tall Ship schooner that used to shuttle supplies between San Francisco, Sacramento and ports in between, tall ship GAS LIGHT is a majestic vessel that is capable of carrying up to 49 passengers. She is a luxury yacht that features a large and spacious speakeasy-like large open cabin below decks where you and your guests can comfortably escape any weather concerns. GAS LIGHT has plenty of above-deck and below-deck seating space so you and your employees, family and friends will get an awesome view of the bay from wherever they feel comfortable hanging out. Gas Light is an extremely stable and smooth boat. You can place a glass on the decks and it won’t move. This means no tipping or healing over! If you are planning an evening or nighttime charter, your group will get to view a beautiful spectacle of Christmas lights that make the coastline shimmer. Time your charter around one of the many boat parades to add extra delight for you and your guests!
Every Good Party Needs Yummy Refreshments
The captain and crew of GAS LIGHT can help you to make sure you have the refreshments everyone will rave about. As part of the charter experience, we can supply fine wine, cheese and charcuterie platters, gourmet sushi, and or other appetizer style snacks. You can spice up your holiday event further by ordering local meal options for delivery right to the yacht. When booking your reservation, ask us to share our favorite restaurant options with you.
Don’t forget we have a fully licensed top shelf bar! You can host the bar at a per person cost, offer each guest a set amount of drink tickets, or have a cash bar. We offer both ice cold and hot beverages!
Entertaining Your Guests
At Bay Light Charters, we take the guesswork out of entertaining your guests. Each San Francisco Bay tour lasts approximately 3-4 hours. There are many different sightseeing packages to choose from depending on the time of day of your event. For daytime events, we can sail past sites like Alcatraz Island, under the Golden Gate Bridge, Angel Island, the Tiburon Peninsula and more. During the evening and nighttime hours, we will sail out into the bay so that the stunning San Francisco skyline acts as the backdrop for a fun-filled party.
The activities you choose can make or break the success of your holiday corporate event. While out in the water, consider doing the following:
Do a toast that showcases the successes of the business during the past year and give special shout-outs to those who went the extra mile and worked especially hard on a project. Use unexpected humor to make your toast even more memorable.
Create an extra special holiday bonus for someone attending the event and initiate a gift wrap game. This game is super simple to play and will evoke much laughter among participants. Stuff a small box full of gift cards, gift certificates, or cash and wrap the box over 100 times with different wrapping papers. Your corporate event group then gathers around a table and starts rolling two dice until they roll a "snake eyes." The person who rolls a snake eyes will then put on oven mitts and attempt to start unwrapping the gift, while everyone else continues to pass around and roll the dice attempting to get a snake eyes roll to begin their turn at unwrapping the gift. The first person to get it fully unwrapped is the winner of the prize.
Play a game of colleague trivia and provide your employees with the opportunity to learn new and exciting things about their co-workers. Before the day of the event, have your employees write down something that is interesting or unusual about themselves. The organizer of the event will then ask questions related to these fun facts and the participants will get to guess who the fact is about.
