Talking and learning about your surroundings is almost as fun as drinking it in on a sensory level. Our crew have a deep understanding of all things scow schooners as well as San Francisco’s scenery and history. You will learn about the process of raising the sail, and will also get an opportunity to actually raise the sails if you like. You can be actively involved and take the helm or sit back and relax on our expansive decks. With food and beverages available below decks in our “speakeasy” like living-room there is something for everyone.
Important Side note: Ours is the only tour in town aboard a scow schooner! This is the type of yacht that helped grow San Francisco, during the gold rush into the city we all know and love! This replica looks old but has all the modern functionalities you would want like, 2-restrooms, comfortable spaces to relax, etc. This is the equivalent to a step back in time aboard a modern vehicle. So nowhere else are you going to find this level of experience, fun, and history. And if you do want to fully nerd out on nearly any sailing topic, we loves these kind of sidebars. Let’s just not bore the rest of the group with banter about our favorite type of rigging or navigational equipment.
